Cannot create profiles - use to work & now don't & other "bugs"

I have tried creating profiles (multiple ways) for several games - some worked & now that I've updated to newest even the ones that did now DON'T!! This is very frustrating & makes me not want to use this - although I have good luck on my XP systems.

9. What profile method did you use to successfully get the game to work? Automatic?
ALL – found the game & tried to create a profile (Most Wanted USE to work before updating GJ) – tried “quick mode” (regular – suggested way) & the image (streaming) mode. - All Fail

10. What brand and model optical disc drive did you use to read the disc? What firmware version did you use?
HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H55L ATA Device (LG Super Multi, Light Scribe, SecurDisc)
 
think for c&c you're scanning the wrong files, try a folder scan for it, usually its a .dat file... some of the other file reports are a bit strange...

did you use protection id v6 or v5.2c?
 
used 5.2c to scan... other version was a beta that i haven't used yet & haven't checked for a newer "full" version recently
on c&c i scanned the .exe files
 
5.2c is heavily outdated, and was also a beta, upgrade to 6.0 and scan again, you will probably find the results are a lot more accurate...
