Breaking Bad blurays constantly crawling to a halt during rip

Hi,

I'm trying to rip breaking bad, it gets to like 25% full speed then hangs at 0.01mb/s for a few mins, then goes back up to 25mb/s for a minute, then back to 0.01mb/s. My drive makes weird noises with it as well. I did a huge amount of discs recently and none of them did this. Anything I can do to get around that?

Most likely bad disc, exchange disc in question causing problem.
