I know I can booktype on my computer, but apparently I can't on my DVD Recorder. So I should keep using -R on my DVD Recorder instead of +R for higher compatibility right?

Heh, well my mom doesn't appreciate me using all of her DVD-Rs. Too bad the DVD Recorder doesn't have an option to change booktype to DVD-ROM. :(

Yeah.......too bad it won't record in 5.1 also!
I'd love it, if my recorder did that! :)

My PC burner does 5.1 on the backups though. :)

I dont care what I use as long as I can clearly hear what is going on.

You must not have a home theater setup?
I've been so spoiled by surround sound, I can hardly listen to anything else anymore.

    HP burners

Hp burners automatically booktype dvd +R media to dvd-rom. which is the most compatible and movies are in rom format.
