I rip my DVDs by copying the approx 5Gb VIDEO_TS folder from the DVD to my hard drive and then playing via Windows Media Player as described in this article:

http://apcmag.com/6488/how_to_play_ripped_dvds_on_vista

It works really great and I hate installing and using non microsoft software.

How about Blue Ray? Would copying the 40Gb BDMV folders etc allow Media Centre to play the discs.

If not what is the least horrible program for playing the move using the raw copied folder?
Or would Clone DVD take a Blue Ray DVD and convert it into a HD format that Windows Media Player can use?

Many Thanks
