Hi all,

I was trying to rip a copy of Blair Witch using Handbrake 1.0.1.

Upon trying to create an mkv, I see some errors in the attached Handbrake log and was hoping someone here would have some idea as to why it's not working. The .mkv file is created, but there's nothing in it (2.1kb file - a little small for a movie) Is this a new kind of protection that AnyDVD hasn't addressed yet?

The summary in AnyDVD reads as follows and the detailed AnyDVD log file is attached:

Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD HD 8.0.9.2, BDPHash.bin 16-12-22)
HL-DT-ST BD-RE BU10N GS01 V001701M69E4HL3412
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1
Drive supports AACS version: 1

Current profile: DVD-ROM
Media is a DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)
Size of first Layer: 2084960 sectors (4072 MBytes)
Total size: 4169920 sectors (8144 MBytes)

Video DVD (or CD) label: BLAIR_WITCH
Media is CSS protected!
Media is locked to region(s): 1!
Video Standard: NTSCattached

Using online database!
Found & removed structural copy protection!ti
Found & removed invalid cell pieces!
Found & removed bogus title set(s)!
Found & removed invalid VOBUs!
RCE protection not found.
UDF filesystem patched!
Patched DVD volume label!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Removed CSS copy protection!
Found & removed 19 potential bad sector protections!
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

I'm fairly new to troubleshooting issues like this, so if I've missed any relevant information, please let me know.

Thanks,
Rif

Either use something, that works out of the box (CloneDVD / mobile), or change the libdvdnav setting in handbrake.

Not an AnyDVD issue. That's a 3+ year old handbrake one. That question for asked twice I think last week. Hi into advanced settings, tick the box 'disable libdvdnav' and try again. Undo that setting when you're done.

The Handbrake option didn't seem to work, but I used CloneDVD to create an ISO, which created a clean copy from which I was able to create a working MKV.

Thank you both for the assistance.
