I recently purchased a blu ray from Amazon, but it's not recognised by AnyDVD HD. It's a retail disc, not a copy. I use the latest version of AnyDVD HD.

    AnyDVD info:

    Summary for drive Z: (AnyDVD HD 8.5.0.0, BDPHash.bin 20-03-11)
    NECVMWAR VMWARE SATA CD01 1.00
    Drive (Hardware) Region: 2
    Current profile: BD-ROM
    Media is a Blu-ray disc.

Total size: 11712160 sectors (22875 MBytes)
    Video Blu-ray label: JAPPELOUP
    Media is AACS protected!
    AACS MKB version 44
    Drive supports bus encryption!
    Disc wants bus encryption!
Error retrieving bus encryption keys (bus encryption)!
    ERROR processing Blu-ray disc!

With AnyDVD HD running, I can't load the disc in VLC either. This is the error:

    Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'dvd:///Z:/'. Check the log for details.
    Blu-ray error:
This Blu-ray Disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.
    Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///Z:/'. Check the log for details.

Weird, even though I tried many times to get AnyDVD to recognise the disc it didn't work. After I ran the logfile, the region screen popped up and I was able to rip the disc.
I added the logfile for completion's sake.

Bus decryption in VM is tricky.
