Hi,
My first post. I hope this is the correct forum.

My first creation of mp4s have gone fine.
However I have tried unsuccessfully to make an accurate mp4 of the 1969 movie 'Battle of Britain' (BluRay) after ripping first to the hard drive.
But this is only because the rare subtitle translation of German into English which is completely missing on the mp4.
Playing the BluRay from the disc using English is fine.

I can therefore make a subtitle free mp4, but I would prefer a more accurate version.
Is this a known issue with this movie?
Can anyone advise ?

Sounds like you want the forced subtitles track. However you didn't say what you're using to convert, and how you're doing it. And with what

Thanks for the reply Ch3vr0n.
I have used AnyDVD HD to rip files to a hard drive. Then used latest Handbrake to make the MP4's.
I'm not particularly used to Handbrake's options, but I'm using Apple 1080p30 and had set Foreign Audio scan to 'Burn in only'
Have I given you enough info that I should ? Like I say, I'm not experienced with this stuff.

You're probably doing something wrong in handbrake or selecting the wrong title. You're most likely going to get the best support over at the handbrake forums. The thing is, forced subtitles arent easy to detect (afaik there's 3 different ways to set them as forced during disc creation). I'm afraid there's little we can do here, as this is not a handbrake forum. Since you were able to rip succesfully, anydvd did its job. Anydvd also has zero effect on which subtitle tracks are available for conversion.

Thanks again!
I will get on over to Handbrake and see where I'm going wrong.
Your help appreciated.
