Get a new disk? Get a new drive? Post a logfile? :D
For a "big deal movie" - Avatar has no remarkable protection at all. AnyDVD would have handled it 2 years ago.

Brand new release from TCF and no structural protection, gee wiz things are looking good for Slysoft, got the studio scared :) lol.

They probably spent all the money trying to get the BD version "copy proof", weren't too concerned with the DVD.

Where did you get that version latest download is 6.6.3.4?

I have a lifetime license and dont see 6.6.3.5?

Will try 6.6.3.6 on the BD since I could not get it to work on 6.6.3.5

What errors out ? If your having problems. Post an anyDVD logfile

Post an Anydvd .zip log file

a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
b) Put the problematic original movie dvd in your burner. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
c) Right click the red fox icon on your system tray.
d) Select "Create Logfile"
e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file.
f) A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "ok".
g) Windows Explorer will open, and you will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f)
h) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like (in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread)
i) If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
j) A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
k) Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
l) click "upload"
m) Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the .zip file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at

B. State the a)full error message(s) you encountered (click "details"), b)tell us what program(s) you were using when you received the error message(s), and c) describe in detail what you were doing when you received the error message(s). What problem are you having exactly?

Ill post a log file of Avatar Region 4 when released on Tuesday in Australia.

I had no problems ripping, but file to big with just using the movie alone to fit 4.5gb disk.

then it was a DVD-9, You then have either 2 choises. 1) Shrink the ripped folder to a DVD5 (4.5GB) with CloneDVD, or burn to a DL disk.

I had no problems ripping, but file is too big with just using the movie alone to fit 4.5gb disk.

Avatar takes up most of it's duel-layer DVD. One has to compress it down to 60% to get it to fit a DVD-5. This is well beyond the "competancy" area of both CloneDVD or even DVDShrink. Even taking just the Main Movie and AC3 6 channel audio still leaves you with compression artifacts up the wazzooo. Not only is it a huge file - but there are so many pixels in motion all the time that it's hard to properly compress.

This title truely needs a duel-layer blank to do it justice. If you *must* compress - this is a job for DVD Rebuilder on the longest possible setting.

Just for a comparison, here's the Region 4 Log File - I got it one day early before release :)
