There are some options for audio quality. Just what do they do? If I'm backing up a game, would picking the fast option actually degrade the audio quality in the copy? Or is a copy an identical copy?
 
Looking again at the audio options, the Audio Extraction Quality option seems to imply recoding of audio in the lower quality modes.

Is this what's happening?

And why are there separate options for the reading data speed and the audio extraction speed? Isn't audio also merely data?
