I know alot of you use TMT with your HTPC and anydvd...I am going to build one soon.

Question is, how does TMT register? Does it require internet activation with periodic checks, or is it just a serial number only. This htpc will have no internet activation.

I don't think it connects, but I know it doesn't require a serial.The installer they give you is unique, so you have to save it in a safe place(s). There are no periodic checks. I happily block all these programs with my firewall once the installation is done. Cyberlink until a while ago had the nerve to push ads through PowerDVD, and although the option is now un-selectable, it's still the default.

does the installer only work on one specific machine only?
