I have the iso that I ripped from a PS3 and mounted with daemon tools, like I always do. But here's what I get in the anydvd status window:
Code:
Summary for drive G: (AnyDVD 6.1.5.5)
LY3205S REL731S 1.0
Drive (Hardware) Region: 0 (not set!)

Media is a DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 1
Total size: 4718592 sectors (9216 MBytes)
Video Blu-Ray label: APL1NNE1
Media is AACS protected!
Failed to retrieve AGID!
ERROR processing Blu-Ray disc!
Is this an anydvd issue or is something now missing when ripping from a PS3? :(

... guess I'll have to watch it on my PS3 and miss out on the uncompressed audio track. This is the main reason I like to view my movies from my HTPC, I have no hdmi receiver, so I use the 6 channel analog audio out from my HTPC.

I see. Is there any more info on this? It works on other discs using the same method.
Have you heard of any other work-arounds, or am I simply out of luck?

EDIT: nevermind, I found this post talking about the same thing.

I'll keep an eye on that for James' response.

Thanks for the help and the quick reply though! :D

I don't know of any work arounds. There is a similar issue here.

As James and, especially, peer develop AnydvdHD, I would read their comments with great care.

Given what James says, I would guess you're out of luck until you buy a real Blu-Ray drive.

I edited my post at the same time you posted this - I found that link by searching for what you told me. ;)

Just an FYI - the new 6.1.5.6 seems to have solved my problems. :D

lucky bastard :(

my closer still doesn't work with newest version.
I checked this morning, and it plays fine (I went to bed while it was processing).

I will have to get the Closer Blu-Ray - I am not sure if I've seen it. It sounds familar, but I don't have it in my dvd list (I read about it quick just now on amazon). Was it on one of the movie channels recently?

EDIT: I did Letters/Iwo Jima and Flags of our Fathers too. Though I didn't try them before (once Apocalypto failed, I didn't bother with Iwo Jima or Flags).
