残念ながら、まだ日本語の縦字幕がAmazon,Netflixともに正しく表示出来ません。(埋め込みを選択しても)
以前のバージョン(例えば v1.3.8.0)ではオリジナルの字幕を正確に表示出来ていましたが(少なくともNetflixでは)、字幕の形式が変わってからは、
上手く表示しません。
現在、v1.3.8.0がすでに使えなくなっておりv1.4.5.0を使っていますが、中央下段にセリフ字幕と縦字幕が合わさり3～4段の字幕が表示される場面もあり、非常に読みづらくなっています。またプレーヤーによっては多少の文字化けも見受けられます。
字幕の中でも日本語字幕は特殊なルールが多々あり、再現が難しいとは思いますが改善して頂きたいです。

Unfortunately, I still can't get the Japanese vertical subtitles to display correctly on both Amazon and Netflix. (even if you choose to embed them).
Previous versions (e.g. v1.3.8.0) were able to display the original subtitles correctly (at least on Netflix), but since the subtitle format changed
It does not display well.
Currently, I am using v1.4.5.0 because v1.3.8.0 is no longer available, but there are some scenes where the dialogue subtitles and vertical subtitles are combined in the lower center and three or four subtitle levels are displayed, making it very difficult to read. In addition, depending on the player, some garbled characters can be seen.
I understand that there are many special rules for Japanese subtitles and that it is difficult to reproduce them, but I would like to see them improved.

ちなみに、1.4.5.0から1.3.8.0にダウングレードして試してみましたが、やはり使えませんでした。
Amazonでは、1.4.5.0へのアップデートを促すダイアログが出た後、ログインは出来ますが、540pでしかダウンロード出来ません。
Netflixは、同じくアップデートを促すダイアログと "Provider setup failed"というエラーダイアログが表示され、ログインしてはいますが、
画面には何も表示されません。また、ログアウトも出来ません。
Netflixログイン時の画像とログファイルを添付します。

v1.3.8.0が以前の様に使えるようになるのも良し、v1.4.5.0以降のアップデートで字幕問題の修正が入るのも良し、
いずれにしても、簡単ではないと思うので、我慢強く待ちます。

By the way, I tried downgrading from 1.4.5.0 to 1.3.8.0 and it still did not work.
On Amazon, after a dialog prompting me to update to 1.4.5.0, I can log in, but can only download in 540p.
Netflix also prompts me to update and gives me a "Provider setup failed" error dialog.
I am logged in, but nothing appears on the screen. I can't log out either.
Attached is an image and log file of Netflix login.

It would be nice if v1.3.8.0 could be used as before, or if v1.4.5.0 or later updates would fix the subtitle issue, or if v1.4.5.0 or later updates would fix the subtitle issue.
In any case, I will wait patiently as I know it will not be easy.

Our developer @Pete had a look at this issue yesterday and he already found the reason for it. He is working on a fix and will inform you here, once he has a beta version for you so you can test it. He's expecting to get it fixed next week

技術的な事は全く分かりませんが、Netflixと同じ様に字幕の形式をtx3gからvobsubに変更する事は可能ですか？
