    Hi,

I used the 21 day trial period for AnyDVD and was very satisfied. I found it very easy to use, being able to load the disc from another region and just click on the icon then continue to watch it.

However, before i purchase it i'd like to know, whether if i go through the same steps to play a DVD from another region to my drive, will i be able to run a DVD>Ipod (mpeg4) converter. I.e. instaed of watching with Power DVD, using a converter. As without AnyDVD it comes up with a message saying that it wouldn't work due to the drive's region being different.

    Thanks

My suggestion would be to use anyDVD with CloneDVDMobile. CloneDVDMobile is Slysoft's converter. Personally, I use it for DVD to Creative Zen Vision M conversions, but I've done some converting for friends with iPods to prove to them that it works, and then they buy it.

Does the CloneDVD Mobile have the Ipod Touch video setting as the converter i plan to buy (Cucusoft) has a specialist setting for the touch and it's larger screen.

All I see under iPod is the iPod Video and the iPod Video 5 gen (hires).

Do a search for 'iPhone', and you'll find a thread with information on how to modify the devices.ini file of CloneDVDmobile for the iPhone. The iPhone and iPod Touch have the same resolution. Just rename 'iPhone' to 'iPod Touch' in the ini file.

I have had no problems using the clone dvd mobile to transfer my daughters movie to her i-pod touch. It is well worth the price

The "touch" is scheduled for the next release.

    Hi,

I tried to copy one of my region 2 dvds (Behind Enemy Lines) using DVDCloneMobile to compare it with Cucusoft whic i think i will buy. It has found an error about APS copy writed material.

This didn't happen on other programs, what is the problem here.

In the ideal scenario, i will be able to run anydvd to mask the DVD region and then use CucuSoft to convert my DVDs from other regions.

    Thanks

Uhm.. which program found an APS error? CloneDVD mobile wouldn't care, actually, so I'm a little lost...

CloneDVD found the error and wouldn't let me convert them due to it.

Ok, so are you trying to copy without AnyDVD running?

EDIT: or you disabled the "remove analogue protection system" option in AnyDVD?

Not sure about the bit in the edit but i didn't have anydvd running in the background (as my trial is over).

I have purchased cucusoft last night so the only issue now is whether anydvd will work with this.

    Thanks

I don't know cucusoft, so you'll have to try that yourself.

CloneDVD mobile most definitely will work in combination with AnyDVD. And of course it will not without AnyDVD (just like pretty much any other DVD converter) unless you are transcoding an unprotected disc.

CloneDVD mobile does not remove any protection by itself.
