I need the ZIP file with the logs in it. You only posted your status window.

How to post the Anydvd zip file to the forums

(1) Ensure Anydvd is running.
(2) Put the problematic original disc in your optical drive/reader. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
(3) Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
(4) Select "Create Logfile"
(5) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file.
(6) A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "ok".
(7) Go to your My Documents folder
(8 ) You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step 6)
(9) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
(10) If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
(11) A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
(12) Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
(13) click "upload"

Whilst it appears to be purely cosmetic, this latest beta doesn't seem to be listing in 1 Click DVD Pro Copy's log file

(Still seems to run OK, but I'm a little surprised that 1 Click no longer reports its prescence in its log file) ...

That won't really affect anything unless Anydvd coughs up a popup error message that says, "unable to find CSS key due to region mismatch . . ."

There are obviously some bugs in this beta that will eventually be fixed.

Thats just a reporting function... by checking the value of a registry setting. It has nothing to do with the way either program works.

Here are the United Kingdom Region 2 Log Files for Mr Woodcock for you to compare. I know I'm still using Version 6300 and have had no problems with any releases whatsoever with this version, no upgrade for me until I have to.

Thanks, but I was curious about the Casino Royale protection in R2. :)

You were able to backup Mr Woodcock w/o problems with AnyDVD 6.3.0.0 because they aren't using structural protection on the R2 release. Lucky you.

Hi Karlchen,

Casino Royale, R2, Germany, doesn`t work with this (6.3.1.0) Beta Version.

When i insert the disc this windows comes up:

Note that the Disc isn`t broken. I went back to 6.3.0.3 to check it.

I attached the logfile created with 6.3.1.0 Beta.

thanks for the file, but I am completely unable to reproduce this. I have tried the same disc (UK/German release) and it works fine with 6.3.1.0. I tried different drives (region mismatched, as yours) without problems.

Your log says:
read sectors failed, sense 2:3a:0

2:3A:0 means MEDIUM NOT PRESENT

Did you remove the disc while AnyDVD was scanning? Cabling problem? Is the problem reproducible, meaning does it happen always or just occasionally?

Thank you for your help!

Hello James,
thanks for your reply.
After reading it, i installed AnyDVD v6.3.1.0 on my Laptop and tried to insert Casino Royale there. Everything works fine. No error Messages during scanning and i can watch the hole movie with PowerDVD.

So i think my Drive in the PC dies. I will buy a new one and post the result tomorrow.

I`m sorry that i took your time.

Which is exactly why I stsated it appeared to be "purely cosmetic" ..!
