I have tried to rip a couple of movies to my HD using the "Rip to HD" option from the AnyDVD taskbar icon (ie righ click). Out of the three I tried only one was successful, the other two got part way through and stopped with a error message (see attached screen dump for one of the error messages). Capture.JPG

Can anyone help me? Many thanks,

    1. Try cleaning your disc. Download Nero cd-dvd speed. It's a free program to demo. An older free version is available here: http://majorgeeks.com/Nero_DiscSpeed_Formerly_CD-DVD_Speed_d118.html.
Select the tab labeled "scandisc". Select the appropriate drive letter, and click "start". Let us know if Nero cd-dvd speed reports read errors

    2. Do step 8 from here:
    http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=321

These types of errors are commonly caused by bad original discs (even if a disc plays fine, it doesn't mean it is fine).
But do provide the Anydvd status screen.

    Bad DVDS

I had this same problem with the FileIO 3 VTS error. Ended up being bad discs that played fine on my dvd player but were not clear enough for copying.
