I have tried to rip a couple of movies to my HD using the "Rip to HD" option from the AnyDVD taskbar icon (ie righ click). Out of the three I tried only one was successful, the other two got part way through and stopped with a error message (see attached screen dump for one of the error messages).Capture.JPG

Can anyone help me? Many thanks,

Can anyone help me? Many thanks,

1. Try cleaning your disc. Download Nero cd-dvd speed. It's a free program to demo. An older free version is available here: http://majorgeeks.com/Nero_DiscSpeed_Formerly_CD-DVD_Speed_d118.html.
Select the tab labeled "scandisc". Select the appropriate drive letter, and click "start". Let us know if Nero cd-dvd speed reports read errors

2. Do step 8 from here:
http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=321

These types of errors are commonly caused by bad original discs (even if a disc plays fine, it doesn't mean it is fine).
But do provide the Anydvd status screen.

Bad DVDS

I had this same problem with the FileIO 3 VTS error. Ended up being bad discs that played fine on my dvd player but were not clear enough for copying.
