New HP Pavillion, Vista 64, SP1
Anydvd 6.5.3.1
CloneCD (didn't find version under help. just downloaded for fresh install)

It keeps telling me that it cant get complete control of the drive. I can IGNORE and it works, though seemingly a little slower than on my last computer.

To just watch movies (anydvd but not clonecd) the computer finds movies *quickly* and brings up the "what to do" box.

This is something new form me as I have been using your products for years now.

Is this just a problem between slysoft and vista or something correctable

Happy to give any info you need

Nope

I have Vista 64 bit Ultimate Edition SP1 installed on two different systems. I have no problems at all.

1) Provide full error messages

2) a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
b) Put an movie dvd in the drive that you're having problems with. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
c) Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
d) Select "Create Logfile"
e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file.
f) A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "ok".
g) Windows Explorer will open, and you will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f)
h) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread)
i) If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
j) A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
k) Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
l) click "upload"
m) Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the .zip file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at

I really have nothing of a technical nature to add.

I just want to let dtsig know that I have Vista Ultimate 64 bit and I am using the newest versions of AnyDVD as well as CloneDVD2 and have been a customer for years.

I don't have issues, although Vista 64 (and probably Vista 32), make different assumptions on directly playing a DVD and how to handle it. There have been many times that I have had to turn off or change some of the crap that Microsoft has put in our way.

Thanks.
