Ältere AnyDVD-Versionen funktionieren genau so wenig.

    Was läuft da schief??

    Danke für eure Hilfe!

    Anti-malware, anti-virus, anti-whatever software installed?

Just the basic Windows Defender is installed atm. I disabled it temporarely. I also put the ElbyCDIO.dll in exceptions.
It was never deleted anyway...But still nothing.
Am I the only one with this sort of problem?

That's not what I wanted to hear... Btw, the same problem occurs when I try to start CloneDVD.

Because it uses the same elbycdio driver.

What happens, if you start a cmd prompt with administrator rights and type

    net start elbycdio

    ?

Does the Windows system eventlog reveal any information? Like "elbycdio did not start, because ..."

"Der Name für den Dienst ist ungültig."

Btw, AnyDVD installs the elbyCDIO.dll to "C:/Windows/sysWOW64".
    The elbyCDIO.sys goes to "C:/Windows/system32/drivers".
    Just if it's relevant...

It looks like that the driver's registry entry is missing. Can you check with regedit?
    Code:
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ElbyCDIO

    Is this key present?
