Hi. I just updated to this new version and had a weird reaction. I run Windows Vista Home. I always keep anydvd running in the background. This morning I put a thumb drive in my usb slot and anydvd popped up and said it was reading the drive. (I did have a video file on it.)
It froze that way and then my windows explorer died. I had to reboot manually. I tried it again with same results. And then without anydvd running and it worked with no problems.
This never happened with previous versions.
Of course the easy fix is just to turn off anydvd when I put a thumb drive in, but I thought I'd let you guys know it happened in case it happens to others and you can fix it.

I haven't heard of a thumb drive causing a problem in ages.

Disable AnyDVD, plug in the thumb drive, open the AnyDVD settings, uncheck the drive corresponding to the thumb drive, then re-enable AnyDVD. For the time being I believe this will stop your problem but it will require a few extra steps on your part.

It would be useful if you posted the exact brand and model of your thumb drive.
