I consider this a very stable beta everyone can try. Download: http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6164.exe Changes: http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/changes_anydvd.txt 6.1.6.4 2007 06 18 - New (DVD): Added support for a new copy protection to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors", e.g. "Free Zone", R1, US - Change (DVD): Because of popular demand, the "bad sector count numbers" of versions before 6.1.6.0 are back - Change: Shows correct disc size with virtual drives - Change: Because of undesired side effects, the Sonic DLA behaviour before version 6.1.5.4 is back - Fix (DVD): Because of an internal overflow, some Sony Arccos protections were not removed correctly (e.g., "UFC65", R2, UK) - Fix (DVD): Possible hang if heavily scratched or damaged Video DVD was inserted - Fix (HD DVD & Blu-ray): In a rare situation, renaming the AACS directory could fail (e.g., "The Hulk", HD DVD, US) - Fix (HD DVD & Blu-ray): Problem with Windows Vista UDF file system - Some minor fixes and improvements - Updated languages
Thanks James for the timely new beta release 8) . My own performance issues with a damaged DVD are resolved. I saved my "test disk" (LOL!) and all is well in Mudville tonight! Good work and great support from Slysoft! TYVM Charlie in Mississippi
Maybe it would be neat to show both values: 1. "the number AnyDVD tells you is just what AnyDVD believes *might* be a bad sector protection" (James wrote that) and 2. the "bad sector count numbers" of versions before 6.1.6.0 Anyway, thank you James for 6.1.6.1!
I was in a pretty goofy mood when I wrote that, yes. But maybe both values are useful. I don't know. You're the developer.
Very stable it is very stable and I needed it this weekend for some new releases ________ CHEAP GLASS BONGS
Anydvd 6.1.6.2 wrongly detected arccos on this disc: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=5263 And there was a drag and drop .xpl file bug with HD-DVDs, I think, under Vista: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=5247&page=4 I'm not sure what else changed.
I do. The new "unnamed" protection can now be copied with CloneCD and with Explorer, previous version required AnyDVD ripper or CloneDVD.
Neat. Is that the protection on Free Zone? http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=4851&page=2 Maybe you should name the protection. :agree: 8) Do you think it's a variant of Edge-9 or Core x2?
Yes. I have spotted it now on 3 titles (one from Germany, two from the U.S.). Don't know, don't care. It's a copy protection, that's all I know.
