Can someone tell me what's going on here. I thought it might be a dirty disk but it is brand new.

The drive failed to send it's host key which anydvd needs to remove the bus encryption, before it can decrypt the actual disc. Try doing a light clean on the disc. It's probably a case of dirty/defective disc and/or drive. Update to Anydvd beta 8502 if your license permits. Can't hurt either.
