I'm leaning toward defective / dirty disc and / or drive. But since this is a relatively new release, its 1 of 2 cases. Defective disc or new protection variant.
I'm leaning toward defective / dirty disc and / or drive.
Thanks for the quick responses. I've tried the DVD in two different drives with the same results. After inserting the DVD, and waiting a VERY LONG time while AnyDVD scans the disc (about 12 minutes), I try to "Rip Video DVD to Hard Disc..." (using AnyDVD 7.5.1.0 or AnyDVD Beta 7.5.1.1), but when I click on the "Copy" button, I immediately receive the following error message: Drive E: is not ready!
This is the status display from inside AnyDVD:
Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 7.5.1.1, BDPHash.bin 14-08-13)

I suppose it could just happen to be a defective disc, but since the title was just released today, I was leaning more toward a new variant.
Thanks, again!
You tried two different drives, and still no bueno. I believe it is a defective disc. Only because I've already back-up this DVD a week ago. No errors. Clean and see if it works, if not, return for replacement.

Just follow the link, and look for "guide number 5" ... then "Post a new thread".
Thank you.
