I noticed a number of requests for native support for the ARCHOS Generation 4 devices (504, 604, 704, etc.) with no replies nor updates. Given the last update for CloneDVDmobile is quite old (12/27/2006), has development stagnated? Consider this yet another ping for support.
I have tested every profile trying to find one that works "very well" with the ARCHOS 604wifi with no luck.
The device supports virtually any resolution and bitrate upto DVD quality, in 16:9 widescreen format. It seems the "Generic DivX" is the best option. Unfortunately, the "Generic Divx" profile contains only 4:3 aspect ratio high-resolution target sizes.
All other profiles having native widescreen aspect ratios do not enable both high resolution and high bitrates.
I really need something like 640 by 360 at 2 Msps target, so I can have DivX conversions that play well on both normal computers or through the 604 WiFi connection.
Please add an "ARCHOS Generation 4" profile or update "Generic DivX" profile with the ability to do high resolution high bitrate 16:9 generic DivX.
I guess I never should have bought this software before selecting the hardware, but I really wanted to stay with the SlySoft series as I often use CloneDVD.
