Uninstall and reinstall, try it with your A/V off when you install.

I can't even fully install version 8.0.2.4.
The virus scanner gives me an alert that AnyDVDtray.exe is infected with Gen:Variant.Barys.153.

Your virus scanner gives out a false positive. The file is NOT infected.

Edit:

Corrective actions (for instance):
1) Update virus signatures.
2) Check the heuristics.
3) You can exclude the file in your virus scanner from scanning.
4) Use another virus scanner.

Thank you, RedFox1!
Bitdefender free had quarantined anydvdtray.exe for the reason Coeno gave.
Reinstalling and whitelisting worked.

@gur_helios
Thanks for the steps. I did step 3.

@Bubbator
I also did the same as you and reinstalled to 8.0.2.4.

I know RedFox will never build any virus in there software.

Get rid of Bitdefender is my advice. If such program flag RedFox software they are junk software or worse malware and need to be tossed out like the kitchen sink. I use MSE and have no problems.
