Have you ever considered creating a 5C decryption product so that folks with Windows Media Centers (mce2005 & vista) can record cable broadcasts?

Imagine a driver that worked with the Siliondust HDHR (www.silicondust.com) that allowed it to unencrypt encrypted stations...

I believe there would be a huge demand for such a product.

    THAT would be piracy.

Not really. Folks use it so they can PVR content. Once viewed/used it gets deleted.

No different from a cable companies PVR box, except you dont pay the cable company big $$$ for the PVR convenience and you get to upgrade storage etc as you need...

MCE 2005/Vista MCE is big as is the HDHR from silicondust. Such a solution Allows fair-use convenience if you ask me (not piracy).
