I'm not sure if CloneBD is the best application to implement some features I've been thinking about, but none of the other applications have them and CloneBD seems the most close in functionality...
/* 0) 3D support in general; mentioned just for completeness, I've read that it's already planned */
1) 3D subtitle support: read video from MKV file with 3D MVC video (that is, direct copy from bluray disk meaning not much else should be done in addition to already planned 0) feature at least for this step) + read external SRT subtitle file; decode video and use differences between left and right frame to estimate best position in 3D space for subtitles and generate these subtitles in a format accepted by Stereoscopic Player
2) 3D subtitle support like 1), only MKV contains two full HD (AVC, I think) video streams instead of one MVC stream
If added, that would AFAIK make CloneBD the first video re/encoder in the world having proper support for 3D subtitles (not counting here professional software with the cost comparable to entire house) which would be an additional selling point.
