ok. 'learning time with timmy'. 1080p. audio 128kbps stereo dd+ across the board, one language track. one season with 13 episodes. download. i end up with six of each episodes. e.g. s01e01.mkv, s01e01_1.mkv, s01e01_2.mkv etc. all in all for 13 episodes i end up with 78 (!!!) files.

and, here is the kicker. they are all 1080p, same fps, same CABAC, same profile, BUT with different video bitrates! for instance, let's pick s01e10. first file, s01e10.mkv is 482mb with video bitrate of 6800kbps. the next two files are s01e10_1.mkv and s01e10_2.mkv and they both are 267mb with video bitrate of 3670kbps.

this is for each episode the same. first file is higher bitrate, followed by two files with lower bitrate, then one file higher bitrate (same as first file), and the last two are the same as files _2 and _3.

what. in. the. sweet. baby. jesus'. name. is. going. on? hahahahaha, no. seriously. wth? is there an explanation? NF acting up? AS+ breaking L1 by using The Force? is this an episode of twilight zone? can anyone reproduce this on their end? cheers!

If it's downloading in 1080p AS only directly downloads what NF offers, AS is a direct downloader. It is what it is. I do not believe this is an AS issue. They are cartoons, not like regular movies. Bitrates that are not uniform are not strange at all.;)

APV has all 5 seasons in 640kbps and a very high bitrate. But that's not unusual.

If I understand well zanetti wanted to download 13 episodes , this corresponds to the 13th downloaded mp4 files. His problem is probably that AS downloaded unnecessarily more qualities from the same episodes.

I do not think that was his issue, if it is he didn't explain it. There are exactly 78 episodes in all five seasons. That cartoon series is not available in my region so I cannot test it but APV has all of the seasons and they download just fine. He never posts log files, I have asked him numerous times to do so in other posts.

Zanetti - Please post a logfile for the cartoons.

AS does not download, .mkv files, when you turned them into, .mkv it could have changed everything, I do not how you did or why you did it, or what program you did it with. What was the outcome of the .mp4 files that AS downloaded? Please give me an AS logfile.

eh, i will have to download again for log. but, first things first. it is not 'timmy time', but rather 'learning time with timmy'. second, not AP, but NF. third, not US, but CH. and last but not least, NF CH has one season of 'learning time with timmy', it has 13 episodes, and AS grabbed 6x for each episode, aka 78 mp4 files: that is 6 mp4 files per episode, all files are 1080p, same audio bitrate, but 2 files of 6 per episode have 2x video bitrate of the 4 of the rest of the files.

e.g. s01e05 has 6 mp4 files: s01e05.mp4, s01e05_1.mp4, s01e05_2.mp4, s01e05_3.mp4, s01e05_4.mp4, s01e05_5.mp4. all are 1080p, same CABAC, same profile, but two have video bitrate of 6000kbps, while the other three have 3000kbps video bitrate. the one other difference is that larger files have 3 ref frames, and smaller ones have 4 ref frames. everything else is the same.

hope it is clear(er) now. im adding a screenshot to boot (note: one copy of larger files per episode are already archived so they are missing in the screenshot).

AS does not download, .mkv files, when you turned them into, .mkv it could have changed everything, I do not how you did or why you did it, or what program you did it with. What was the outcome of the .mp4 files that AS downloaded? Please give me an AS logfile.

yeah, typo. those are mp4 files. and, btw. when adding episodes to queue it lists 13 episodes. lol. ill do it again and monitor how things go, do the additional files per episode download after all 13 episodes are done, or do they download as the episode changes etc. wait for log, give me a sec.

EDIT: here it goes. little explanation. opened AS, hit downloadall, it added 13 episodes 2x to queue. i aborted after 13 episodes downloaded, thinking maybe i added twice. again, opened series, downloadall, and now AS added all 13 episodes 3x. lol. so, it aint me. lol. anyways, i let it finish and heres the log file. last time it seems AS added 13 episodes 6x to queue, which is weird. whats even weirder is that some files have 2x higher bitrate than others. hahahahahahaha, wth?

and to add insult to injury, im still on 1470. was positive i upgraded to 1480. damn it. lol. changed the thread title. sorry. but, still. weird stuff, right?? AS adds 13 episodes to queue 2, 3, even 6 times and even though all are 1080p in one of the runs AS grabs higher video bitrate files. so, if AS didnt queue 13 episodes multiple times, id end up with lower video bitrate files (albeit ALL files being 1080p).

hope this clears things.

As you can see there is no learning with Timmy Time in my region. When you give me a log file I will give it to Pete.

I have sent all the information to our developer. When you have an issue please post a logfile with the issue. I see its there now, but it should have been in the first post.

Just wanted to add some explanation myself:

In the browser there are 13 episodes

AnyStream shows 52 items in the downloadable items window.
1-13 seem ok, but after that the numbering starts with 1 again and the artwork isn't loading ... that repeats 2 more times
upload_2022-11-30_19-53-43.png

Probably Netflix coded some sh*t which confuses AnyStream...

@zanetti
Try downloading the 13 items at the top ... there are no more episodes anyway ... how's the bitrate then?

Thanks for the help Cartman0208, I sent the file and log to Pete, he will see it in the morning.:(

errrm, only thing i can try is one by one. everytime i 'download all' and add to queue, 13 episodes get added multiple times. btw, i get artwork but no plot. every time, that is. also, im happy with higher bitrate files, lol. im just wondering what is going on? too bad 500 tokens are gone now, id try adding other stuff multiple times hoping id get higher bitrate files hahahahaha. anyways, cheers.

oh, btw. the thing you see in your screenshot... i got that IIRC over at AP when connected via VPN. happened only once. in this case i didnt use VPN, i connect locally. and here i dont get multiple episodes listed in the browser windows. just 13 and thats it.

You have 3 options:
1-add one by one to the DL queue via download button by each episode
2-download all by hitting the equivalent button iin the lower right
3-use the "select for download" checkboxes on episodes ... the "Download All" button then Changes to "Download selection"

use method 3 to download the first 13 downloads ...

I just did ... And yes, on 3 of 13 episodes the bitrates are way higher ... but I'd guess this one's on Nf

Try having the logs open whole downloading.
On Nf you usually have multiple bitrate options for higher resolutions ... AS picks the highest one.
Code:
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085617170): 480x270, bitrate 68000
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085615289): 608x342, bitrate 90000
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085615580): 768x432, bitrate 110000
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085615626): 768x432, bitrate 191000
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085616086): 960x540, bitrate 323000
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085614786): 1280x720, bitrate 470000
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085615012): 1280x720, bitrate 719000
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085616467): 1920x1080, bitrate 1324000
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085616753): 1920x1080, bitrate 2065000
00:05:27.945 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (1085617004): 1920x1080, bitrate 3335000

On those 3 specific episodes Nf only provides ONE bitrate option in 1080p which in those cases is exorbitantly high
Code:
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267283501): 320x240, bitrate 120000
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267287147): 320x240, bitrate 230000
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267498162): 384x288, bitrate 300000
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267497456): 512x384, bitrate 460000
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267497842): 720x480, bitrate 680000
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267497497): 720x480, bitrate 950000
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267284929): 1280x720, bitrate 1330000
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267284172): 1280x720, bitrate 1960000
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267505707): 1280x720, bitrate 3160000
00:06:11.146 - [Debug] [playlist:netflix] Adding video track (267505307): 1920x1080, bitrate 6490000

You will also notice the (lower) resolutions and bitrates totally differ.

So ... what you see is what you get :D

yeah, not complaining about higher bitrate files, hhaha. btw, in that 6x multiplied queue run i managed to get all 13 episodes with higher bitrate, ranging from 4800kbps all the way up to 7500kbps.

I have the same thing for Supergirl season 6 and I don't know why. Some videos have bitrate constraint much lower than other. I downloaded twice on 2 different countries and sometimes it's the same and sometimes I have much bitrate on one or another. I downloaded each one by one not by the "all" button.

I saw the the last version of AS, now we can see the bitrate for the resolution. So this means that the "weirdness" told before is only Netflix side ? And it's not some video streams that AS doesn't see ?

I see that you are mention a different bitrates for an episodes. I have rather a problem when all episodes have a low bitrate on Netflix. It's very strange that video 1080p works at 2000 kbps. And video 720p even at 450 kbps :ROFLMAO:. Thanks pixels it can be called HD, but the bitrate .... I see this problem mostly at the series. Individual movies are around 4000 - 7000 kbps. Is there a chance that these low-bitrate episodes will be possible to download better?

Hello, we only download what they offer. I don’t believe there’s a chance that the bitrates can be better. This has been an issue for Netflix and Paramount since the beginning it’s the same on their website.
