no but it runs fine on 64bit oses in fact most applications and games run on 64bit oses, through emulation, its the 32bit drivers that are the issue, which i believe is what slysoft is working on right now in order to get gj to run on 64bit for gj they are working on: 64bit (duh...), securom...

many programs/games that aren't made for 64 bit WILL work on vista 64. they get installed to the folder "program files x86" instead of the regular "program files". however as i stated "many", and that means not all. unfortunately game jackal is one of those that will not, it in fact will not...

the latest version (*.565) can handle all versions of securom 7. including 7.2xx and 7.3xx however some games will not work with autolaunch enabled. starforce is another matter. starforce and anything that uses laserlok are the most difficult protection schemes invented. i've been following...

i imagine this will be the same for all (previously) released games from blizzard. they all use basically the same style of .mpq files. so owners of diablo II, starcraft, and warcraft III need to make sure all your .mpq's and .dll's are in your folder. hope that solves the problem!! :agree:

the problem with vista is that they "solved" the all the problems of all previous versions of windows. they created vista literally from the ground up, it has NO legacy coding in it, thus many programs that worked in xp will probably not work in vista, untill the program gets patched. so when...

in diablo 2 there are 3 major things that can get you banned: hacking/hashing, illegit cd key, using no-cd cracks/launchers. game jackal isn't a no-cd crack/launcher, its very difficult to explain but take it at that. ;)

my guess is it's related to vista. i believe i've seen people who said they had fear running on maplom's gj but i haven't read or tried it on slysofts. i've never had anydvd throw up emulation flags. among things that can cause this are virtual clonedrive alcohol daemon tools nero...

i do have proc explorer installed but not running. will task manager cause this? and running the game with out game jackal is not a problem, like i said the game runs fine when i dont use autolaunch so i assume that it is somehow related to game jackal.

generally the only time you'll have with this is the newer versions of securom protections, the only loophole is to use a cd image and load it with the newest version of deamon tools, with the YASU (yet another securom unblacklister) to unblacklist deamon tools. or you could use gamejackal and...

usa release of stalkers also doesnt require disk to play also i believe that Battlestations Midway should work with it, it uses securom 7.30 which i haven't had a problem with (up-to-date) Game jackal. you could try using the hide jackal plugin

exactly, and i've also read that the guys making the patches would definitly be doing so illegally, and the people using them not illegally (once again this may not be entirely true)
