    Playback speed of BluRay Discs

The settings within AnyDVD HD offer control of playback speed of Audio and Video DVD to reduce noise of the drive. Then there is the option "Other Media" IIRC. Is it suitable to control BluRay playback speed? I ask because I installed a new drive which is capable of UHD reading, but it's much...

Does AnyDVD enable UHD playback on AMD Systems?

Misunderstanding. I definitely know the difference between DVD and BluRay. MPC is already capable of reading the DVD menue structure for years. I ment, Speedmenue helps it to read BluRay in a similar way. Now, when I updated MPC BE I figured, it also got capability for (unrestricted) BluRay...

Does AnyDVD enable UHD playback on AMD Systems?

Okay. Never used them much and I took its function for other purpose. So MPC i.e. can open the disc then with Speedmenue on in a way as it reads DVD as well? Great news! Cannot try now. Just successfully downgraded the drive and now the first rip is half through. Thanks for clarifying! (y)

Does AnyDVD enable UHD playback on AMD Systems?

Well, is there any alternative? To read the BluRay menues etc I need PowerDVD. WinDVD died a long time ago. Just to playback certain streams without entering the menue level MPC and alike are sufficient, yes. This way, the so-called WAF drops near to zero.

Does AnyDVD enable UHD playback on AMD Systems?

AFAIK, without any other software involved, PDVD does only playback UHD titles on Intel CPU systems due to SGX Support. I still have to downgrade my drives FW in order to try it out. If AnyDVD bypasses ACSS during playback, is SFX still needed then? I only have AMD CPU installed, so this is...

license per user or per program instance?

Well, that's friendly. In fact, I could rip the disc to a location within my network at home (i.e. NAS), but then again, when the family is watching TV i would not like to interfere with the HTPC drive to start a rip I could work on from the study room's PC. So this is really nicer with a...

license per user or per program instance?

May sound silly, but I haven't found info on that topic. But I guess, it is the latter. In the living room I have RedFox AnyDVD running since last year. In the wake of setting up a new PC in my study room I was wondering if one license per user/household would be sufficient.

    64-bit version of ReClock?

I second that! May be annoyinng to you James, but so far there is no combination of programmes or tools for video playback that are that satisfying as the mentioned above. It is not a question of speed gain with 64bit software but some day 32bit development will cease as the platforms will...

AnyDVD HD 7.2.0.2 made Cinavia kick in during playback of legit disc

Thank you for your expanded explanation. I admit I didn't recall correctly what is was all about with "Slyce". Fine. So as far as Slyce isn't released, Cinavia won't annoy me as long as I turn AnyDVD HD off for original disc playback and use alternative players for playback of my backups. So...

AnyDVD HD 7.2.0.2 made Cinavia kick in during playback of legit disc

Ah, now I understand what is happening. And, just to summerize: the long term solution with Cinavia won't be frequent updates to fix the player related detection but an all-in-one playback solution slyce. Is that right?

AnyDVD HD 7.2.0.2 made Cinavia kick in during playback of legit disc

Mainly for sharing this information if relevant: While playing Django unchained BD from original disc (!) on my HTPC system (details see signature) Cinavia turned on after 20min playback. When I disabled AnyDVD HD playback was fine. Right before I started watching I installed the proposed...
