    Red Woods

That took care of the problem just fine. Thank you, James! FYI I have a handful of factory BD-R movies in my collection, so I decided to try each one using 8.6.8.3. They all scanned without error--including two titles from the same company that made Red Woods. So it looks like you called it...

    Red Woods

When I try to rip the movie Red Woods using 8.6.8.3 I get the message: ERROR: Invalid content hash! Disc is corrupt! ERROR processing Blu-ray disc! When I revert to 8.6.5.4 the disc rips just fine. It is a commercial disc, however it is a DVD-R. The UPC is 850017184428.

End is Near for DVD/BD Drives?

At least Sony blu-ray players do have USB inputs. I rip and copy movie-only to a HDD or USB stick, and the deck plays the blu-ray stream without any additional software. Even Cinavia-protected content plays right through.

AnyDVD HD Installation Fails on XP x86

Yes, it does. You first took special measures to restore its lost compatibility back in March of 2013, again in October of 2017 by way of your "new self made legacy extender build tool" and yet again in March of 2018 (via XP, as here). Thanks again.

    8.2.2.3 will not rip.

Yes, I like my computers lean and fast (Windows 2000 Professional on the X99 platform) and under my control. The newer systems leave me feeling like it's microsoft's computer rather my own that I'm using. My test rips went fine on XP and W2k Pro, so all is well here. You've done it again...
