@cartman0208 your argument suggests this should be the case with any HDD, which is not happening. The USB drive (HDD) does not complain nor do any of the internal HDD's. This only occurs with the process explained.

I am referring to the erratic decoding/encoding speed when writng to the NAS as shown in the graph. Not only does this result in a longer processing time but it doesn't sound good for the NAS drive as it audibly chatters.

When transcoding and making the destination drive a USB attached drive or internal drive, I get the CloneBD progress graph on the left. When I make the destination drive my NAS, the graph is the one on the right with 'chatter' from the drive. Anyone else experience this and knows why?
