I totally agree with you in/re to AnyDVD, but how do you address the problem in the 1Click forum if you can't access it? That was the 2nd part of my post, I was hoping to get some kind of confirmation from other members who are having the same problem, or is it just me:(

Why is it that when I now download a new version of AnyDVD, I get every instruction but one and that's the little popup that instructs you to reboot your pc.

What happens is that when I get to reboot your pc, nothing happens after that, the fox icon comes on, but does not appear on the taskbar and the update will not launch. Also the notice in the two boxes do not appear, like use right click as much as you want, etc.

I'm using windows firewall and I don't think ISP would be the problem since I'm good to do with 6.1.6.0 and I even disabled AVG all to no avail

Thanks for the try Web, but I still can't download 6.17.0. Contacted TechSupport last night and am waiting to hear from them. I can download 6.1.6.0 with no problem, as smooth as butter, but nothing else after that. I hope the pc is'nt caught in a time warp or a black hole:D:eek:

I'm having the same problem, using XPHome. But when I click on Owner from the Start menu, I can't locate User Account Control to disable it. Any ideas?

Tigerdirect has the Plextorm402u on sale for $87.00, it has been cheaper, so if anybody is intertested, periodiaclly check tigerdirect out. As far as quality goes, like the more knowledgeable people say, it all depends on the quality of the tape or program ou're tring to capture.

When using a Sharpie, make sure it's non-toxic, made especially for CDs & DVDs., Memorex also has DVD markers and they can be found at most office supply stores :)
