I am also having this issue with the latest couple of versions. It happens occasionally after I completely disable and exit AnyDVD (usually cause I need to use MakeMKV for UHD). There is no icon anymore but I need to disable AnyDVD in the task manager.

Thanks Samuri. Unforttunately I don't have any natively UHD friendly drives left. Bought 2 Asus 12D2HT now which are usleess for UHD and AnyDVD. Only work with MakeMKV and Libredrive.

I had two original LG BH16NS55 drives with Original firmware 1.02 in two separate PCs. Both drives died within the last week almost at the same day. Coincidence? Has this happened to somebody else?

Redfox is obviously using the MakeMKV list of hashed keys that's why they don't need the logfiles. If a key is published by MakeMKV, AnyDVD usually supports it 1 day later => behavior observed lots of times so no need to deny it Redfox team ;)

Ich hab das BH16NS55 zweimal hier. Einmal 1.01 und einmal 1.02. Das 1.02 pfeift, das 1.01 nicht. Das 1.01 ist nur minimal langsamer beim rippen als das 1.02. D.h. mit der Firmware kann etwas nicht stimmen.

Ich kauf ja sehr oft UHDs aus UK und anderen europäischen Ländern und es ist bei 100% meiner "Problemfälle" so, dass AnyDVD eine UHD erst kennt, nachdem die Hash Keys bei MakeMKV veröffentlicht werden. Habe keinen einzigen Fall, wo Any schneller war als MakeMKV.

Beim LG BH16NS55 brauchtst du Revision 1.01 oder 1.02. Die aktuell verkaufen Laufwerke haben bereits 1.03, da funktioniert das nicht mehr. Von außen erkennt man das nicht. Ich habe 2 dieser Laufwerke auf gut Glück in einem Computerladen gekauft, wo die Kartons schon länger gestanden haben...

Ok, I started a rip and it says Read Rate between 12.5 and 13.5 Megabytes/Sec., thats at least 100 Mbit/Sec. So my drive is fast enough. Revision 1.01 (guess that's the firmware?) EDIT: Now it's at 14.5 Megabytes/Sec. EDIT: 15.5 Megabytes/Sec. still going up

I remember when I was testing the ripping the drive was telling me ripping speed of 3.X If the drive would be too slow the ripping time would be longer than the actual movie. However it was just about half.

No idea. Bought it last year when I built the new gaming rig.

This is great. My BH16NS55 plays the leaked UHD Blus just fine. Even ripping is not necessary.. Just stream the video using MakeMKV to any player like MPC vor VLC. You can also save the stream then you'll get your m2ts file.
