    problems with Memorex

You realise, in the long run, they are just as bad as Memorex. About 6 months in, they won't play the same. I'd hazard a guess they were Optodisk or something similiar...

Here's how to build an ISO in IMGburn...It's by a great guy called arniebear from AfterDawn... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/383878 Then to burn it you merely switch to burn mode. And to answer your question, no it wouldn't. Are you really telling me that switching between SL...

    Taiyo Yuden DVD-R

No. In the USA, you get Verbatim MCC (Mitsubishi Chemical Corp) disks. In the UK, you can get the MCC disks, and then you get Verbatim disks made by Taiyo Yuden. The Verb TYs, as I call them, are not available in the states at all... Edit: You can get hub printable/thermal printable TYs I...

    Dual Layers

I reccomend using ImgBurn to firstly build an ISO of your vobs and then burn that same ISO with imgburn to a DL disk. Imgburn handles the LayerBreak much better than Nero and the like...

    problems with Memorex

You do realise that Memorex and Fuji use the same disks for their DL media. Lol. Oh, with the excpetion of Memeorex using another code, which is a Phillips disk! Lmao. Verbatim DL FTW! ~Ripper.

Reading back I realise that now zebadee. I know; however, I didn't go on to explain fully, merely presuming he had anydvd which would cure the problem for him anyway; hence it being misleading. ;) :) ~Ripper.

    problems with Memorex

Because the dye used when manufacturing the disks themselves is of a poorer quality than that of Taiyo Yuden and the like. This can cause bad burns and un readable disks; or even if you're disks start out readable, chances are they will be unplayable/readable in another 6 months due to...

    Hardware

You'd be much better off buying Verbatim, which if you look, is always on sale somewhere; it seems. Neither Samsung or Memorex makes for good quality media. That's all Optodisc and CmcMag crap. Maybe a few Ritek/RicohJPN thrown in for good measure.

    Regional Coding

Running AnyDvd in the background should emulate your drive as RPC1 - ie, Region Free. However, there are ways to make it permanent, like Region Free patched firmware etc. You can get patched firmware (if it is availble for your drive) from here. ~Ripper.

    Hardware

I am a religous user of Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim media. I have an LG GSA 4120b (yes, it's an LG, but this model has burnt flawlessly for me - it is however LG's first Super Mulit drive; they seems to have gone down hill lol), and I burn Verbatim 16x Dvd+R disks at anywhere from 4-12x. They code...
