    3D TV question

FWIW, 3D can travel over 1.3 cables just fine. I can confirm this with the New Samsung 3D Blu-Ray player and a Samsung 3D television (PN50C8000). The 3D looks identical (and pretty impressive) over 1.3 and 1.4 cables. I've tried them both. The HDMI connections on receivers can not be updated to...

    CloneBD

Several years ago BD media was so ridiculously expensive that backing up BD to BD-R didn't really make sense. Today, BD-R (SL) media is quite affordable. Therefore, the time for a Clone product is NOW. According to post #2 of this thread (1.5 years ago) slysoft is "moving along with the Clone...

    I regret buying CloneDVD mobile

Yes, I feel the same way! :bang: I expressed the similar feelings on this forum LAST YEAR ( http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=24565 ). And I got the same response from DrinkLyeAndDie last year. From the sound of DrinkLyeAndDie's response he kinda, sort of, semi, implied that we would see...

How do I allow the native resolution of a DVD to pass through in CloneDVD mobile?

OK... after reading your original post again, I see that your goal is to have WMV 9 files. I took this statement - "I want to do is allow the native resolution of the DVD to come through in CloneDVDMobile so that the mpeg file is encoded in whatever the best resolution is that's possible for...

How do I allow the native resolution of a DVD to pass through in CloneDVD mobile?

Why not just use the "vob file (passthrough)" profile. Then change the extension name from ".vob to ".mpg". The end result will be 100% identical ("the best resolution... possible") to what is on the DVD. And it is also the fastest option available.

    VOB passthrough + de-interlace?

OK, thanks. That's what I figured. Anyone have the "knowhow"? The profiles in the devices.ini look like they are probably fairly simple to come up with if you know what you are doing. However, I don't. Can someone help me out?

    VOB passthrough + de-interlace?

I have a bunch of music video DVDs (interlaced). I'd like to compile a library of all of these. My plan is to do VOB passthrough. Use "extension renamer" to batch rename the extension name to ".mpg" so I can take them into "tag and rename" and properly tag them (with album art included). They...

    devices.ini help please

Thanks, that seems to work really well. Also, this AppleTV preset says "Quality=30" in the devices.ini Is "30" the highest quality available? Is there a guide so I can see all my options? I don't want to clutter the forum asking about each individual setting. Thanks!

Change AVC video from Level 5.1 to Level 4.1?

I'm using the AppleTV preset. It seems to work really well. I noticed that it uses AVC Level 5.1 output. Is there a change I could make to the devices.ini so the output files can be Level 4.1 instead. Level 4.1 would increase compatibility with some other devices.

    devices.ini help please

I'm trying to make a better appletv setting in the devices.ini It seems to me that since most DVD have 720x480 video... there should be a 720x480 output option. Especially since AppleTV will be displayed on a TV. What I want to do is convert some music video DVDs to h.264 files that are...

    AppleTV Settings - Bitrate? and 720 x 480

What is the ideal bitrate if quality is the only thing that matters? I could just go all the way to 5000kbps but I'm guessing that anything over about 3000kbps does nothing to quality and only increases file size. However, if 5000kbps does anything at all for quality I'll use it. Also, can I...

Clone DVD Mobile vs Clone DVD

Like GezusK said. The best route to go would be to have a DVD burner that is capable of booktyping to DVD-ROM. Some DVD players read DVD+R, some read DVD-R, and some read both. But all DVD players should read a DVD-ROM. CloneDVD Mobile is mainly used to get movies onto a memory card for...

    LG VX9900 (enV)

I have the LG VX9900 (enV) which is capable of 320 x 240 mgep4, 3gp, and 3gp2 files. Since my phone is not listed as an option, which one would be my best option? Which file type should I choose? Any tips would be appreciated. I've been using clodeDVD for years, but I just got this phone...
