sounds like you may have to reformat windows to make anydvd work again. and that may not even work

Websilinger the PX-716A arent on the market anymore you can still get the PX-716SA sata drive and the PX-716AL slot drive these are the best drives on the market 8mb cache. the PX-760A is inferior to PX-716A ,SA and AL IMO

hate to break it to you but alot of the TDK media will code out as CMC mag (same as the memorex) .using Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim is your best bet. download DVD Identifier to see what the TDK code out as

i burn at 8x with Taiyo Yuden DVD dash R using Plextor PX-716As

8x vs 16x theres no quality difference . Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim are the brands to go with also if your going with the 16x media make sure you drive has the latest firmware update to support the 16x speed media

couple other things make sure your firmware is up to date on your drive/burner and update your nero to 6.6.18

greeter its probably a compatible issue with another program but hard to say .yeah that sucks spending that much time trying to figure out what the problem is to no avail have you tryed other programs like "RitIt4Me" DVD Fab etc.

a layer break is what divides a dual layer DVD. are you using dual-layer?. also make sure your using good blank media like Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim and don't burn above 8x speed check and make sure you have the latest firmware update for your drive/burner also;)

run CCleaner or resgistry Mechanic, tthen do a disc cleanup defrag then reboot and try reinstalling

use Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim DVD dash R or if your using the DVD plus R booktype them the DVD-ROM. and DON'T burn above 8x

do you have the latest firmware update for that Plextor drive? (check Plextor website to see)

its probably 1 click having the problem . what movie are you trying to backup? try using clonedvd 2 with anydvd instead of using 1 click that should solve your problem and as said update anydvd to the latest verison
