BluRay movies are currently MPEG2 which will put a lot less stress on the player than VC-1 or AVC. You just need more juice in that CPU.

As with most films, Forbidden Planet plays fine on 6.5 if you edit the Application stuff out of the XPL. I thought that there was a clickbox option to do that now, but maybe it only does it for specific discs even if it's enabled? Faye

I think this is too early to be worrying about it. By the time this is actually an issue (you can't get some *new* films on one or other format at the moment) it'll be a lot easier to archive it for those who don't care about the higher resolution. At the moment it's early adopter time, and...
