It works fine, but you won't have any menu capabilities that the disc has-you will just have the individual files, and subtitles will have to be external, which I still haven't figured out how to work well. But I play blu ray rips through my Tvix 6500 all the time (all codecs-AVC, VC-1, MPEG2).

I trid to rip my copy of Before the Devil Knows You're Dead and I get to 52% and get an error message. I have had this message before with older discs, but never with a brand new disc. Has anyone else had any difficulties? By the way, I haven't played the disc all the way through yet.

You could stream the video if it is avc (which transformers is), but the audio is the problem. To my knowledge, hd dvd audio specifications don' correspond to blu ray specs. So, to my knowledge you could use eac3to to demux the audio stream you want and put that on a cd or something and sync...

If I remember correctly I used the 0001 playlist which contained 42 individual files and they were in order (0000-0041). I haven't gotten a chance to play the file back yet and see if it works, but I will give it a shot tonight and report back.
