Thank you Mile. I posted my comment on that thread. Things are working now after installing the beta+patch.

Secondary audio gives error "pipe:: Unknown format"

I am using CloneDVDMobile 1.6.1.0 to to encode the Italian version of "The Bionic Woman" DVD, but I want to use the English audio (which is the secondary audio) and I always get the error "pipe:: Unknown format". I don't get errors if I encode with the Italian audio (the primary audio). Can...

Encoding cuts of first 0.5-1.5 seconds

Hi Peer. Thank you for your reply! I tried encoding the VOB with mencoder from the command line using the same parameters that CloneDVDmobile uses, and I that produced a file with no truncation. Here it is: http://www.gianluca.net/mtm_cmdline.mp4 And here's the one with the first frames...

Encoding cuts of first 0.5-1.5 seconds

:) I've run a few tests and I discovered more information, which I passed to SlySoft's support. Let's see if it helps them fixing this bug. Here's the latest message I sent:

Encoding cuts of first 0.5-1.5 seconds

Got this reply from SlySoft tech support: And this was my reply to them: And then this additional reply (always from me to them): I'll keep you posted on what happens.

Encoding cuts of first 0.5-1.5 seconds

I sent a message to SlySoft last week. A tech support person answered and asked me for specific log file, which I provided to them. I haven't got an answer back yet. I'll let you know what happens. Funny thing is that he asked me for an AnyDVD log file, and not a CloneDVDmobile log file.

Encoding cuts of first 0.5-1.5 seconds

I'm resurrecting this thread to show just how old this problem is. Is there anyone from SlySoft that posts on these forums and can give us an answer? Thank you, -Gianluca.

First second truncated and first frame looks bad

Does anyone know of this problem will be addressed by SlySoft? Does anyone have a solution/workaround to this? I'm encoding a number of relatively short MP4 for my Video iPod and the first frame is usually garbage, and the first 1-2 seconds of the video are cut off. I'm using the latest...

Encoding NTSC 29.97FPS material produces weird interlacing problems

Ah...once again my fault, because all this time I thought that the iPod could play interlaced video. I did some further research and found out I was wrong, indeed.

I know this is an old problem, but does anyone know if SlySoft is going to address it? Thanks, -Gianluca.

Encoding NTSC 29.97FPS material produces weird interlacing problems

I'm trying to convert NTSC Video material from DVD encoded at 29.97 frames per second. I'm converting using the iPod (hires) profile, using version 1.1.5.4. Output to a 640x480 and all other parameters are left to default values. The output file is an MPEG-4 video at 24FPS, which has motion...

3 pass of multi title DVD does not work

Ah! Good to know! I will try this! Thanks, -Gianluca.

3 pass of multi title DVD does not work

3 instance running all error out I had 3 instances of CloneDVDmobile running and all 3 ripping with 3-pass (iPod-HiRes profile, 640x480, default bitrate) and all 3 of them gave some really long error message box as soon as they reached the end of their respective titles (error apparently came...

3 pass of multi title DVD does not work

This same problem does NOT happen with other DVDs ("Futurama" season 1), where each single title is correctly passed 3 times and then CDVDmobile moves onto the next title.

First second truncated and first frame looks bad

These are pretty old problems that have never been fixed. Are you ever going to fix them?? If you're NOT going to fix them at least tell us, or give us an ETA. The first second or so of all titles converted is always truncated, and the first frame always look like crap (lots of blocking)...

3 pass of multi title DVD does not work

I'm ripping my Looney Tunes cartoons DVD. I have AnyDVD running to crack the key. I run CDVDmobile Select iPod HiRes profile Select the first TWO titles (two cartoons) All defaults until I get to the last screen. -Select 640x480 -Select 3pass -Select default bitrate -Do NOT split chapters and...

H.264 MP4's up to 720p for Apple TV?

CloneDVD mobile does not support H.264 MP4 for iPod *at all*. Only MPEG4 video is supported for iPod. The guys at SlySoft are not telling us anything, which pisses me off. They've created this forum and I wish they would, at least, let us know something. Anything! I can take a "no", but I...

Request for New Encoding Options: Generic (AVC H.264), Generic (MPEG4)

After seeing the post from GezusK, I tried something very similar: I edited devices.ini and duplicated the “iPod Video 5. gen (hires)” profile replacing only the codec from “mpeg4” to “h264” and the “MaxVBitrate” from 2500 to 1300. I restarted CloneDVDmobile and encoded a DVD with the newly...

Encoding cuts of first 0.5-1.5 seconds

Hmmmm... The more I look at this problem the more I think this is a bug in a the 3rd party software encoder (called mencoder.exe) that us ysed by CloneDVD Mobile, so I suspect this may take quite a while longer to fix. Just a thought.

Encoding cuts of first 0.5-1.5 seconds

I see this problem as well. I use all the default quality settings, and the first 1/2 sec, or so, gets chopped off, and the first frame is always a badly pixellated. -Gianluca.
