Ripping a DVD with Anydvd Ripper and the LITEON IHES108 takes over an hour. If I use DVD Shrink with Anydvd, it takes about 20 minutes. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? I also get normal rip times if I use DVD HD Decrypter.

Drink too much I have no idea what you are trying to say. This thread says the following: 1) FixVTs no longer exists 2) As of today that is not a problem 3) In the future Sony is going to corrupt disks so that it will be a problem. 4) James and the Slycrew will respond to anything that...

My balls I don't bet them lightly. But yes, on this I will. Thanks SLYSOFT! Sony needs to understand that three year olds trash dvds and that backups need to be made.

Yes, but..... 'Let's be clear about one thing here...if you're using nothing but CloneDVD and AnyDVD, the demise of FixVTS is of no consequence at all.' This may be true TODAY. But how long do you think before Sony adds destructive information so that the old FixVTS won't do the trick...

FixVTS and Menushrink stopped From Videohelp.com FixVTS and Menushrink stopped Slysoft: how will this affect the Sony protection problem described in this thread? I am sure that Sony will now modify it's destructive practices so that present editions of FixVTS will no longer be enough...

Ripping HD DVD to DVD Dual Layer

jhkilroy, I haven't been able to find software that will split an HD-DVD disc available anywhere. Hopefully slysoft is working on this as well. So far I think all you can do is demux and reencode in a dvd playable software. But it is early in the game.....

    Streaming HD-DVD

You can stream both mpg2 and WM9 without a wired connection so perhaps there is hope that HD-DVD can also be streamed. Probably only a matter of converting the HD-DVD material to mpg2 then streaming.

    Streaming HD-DVD

Options Two problems with that approach for me and probably for a lot of others 1) TV and computer are pretty far away from each other and those cables can be really expensive 2) TV has component in, so not only do I need a long cable but I need an adapter- big bucks Best solutions...

    Streaming HD-DVD

Okay- with the release of HD-DVD we will be able to rip HD-DVD content to our hard drives. Most if not all video cards don't have component out so the only way I can think of to view the HD-DVD content would be by streaming. Is there any way at this time to stream HD-DVD from hard drive...

    AnyDVD HD and dual-layer DVD-R

Compressing really wouldn't make a lot of sense. After all, that is why we want to watch HD-DVD to get max quality. This goes back to my question about whether it would be possible to split ripped HD_DVD movies into 2-3 dual layer DVDs.

    AnyDVD HD and dual-layer DVD-R

Sorry for the vagueness of my question. Earlier in the thread someone talked about ripping an HD-DVD movie and then splitting that into two DVD-Dl discs. I was wondering exactly how one would split a ripped HD-DVD into two DVD-DL that a player would be able to read. When doing this with...
