The only problem with that i've noticed is official BD software based players like PowerDVD (which have afaik dropped 3D support entirely). BDRB rebuilds them into an in-mux stream (which is BD compliant) but not all players officially support them. My panasonic ones (all the way to DMP-BD85)...

3D bd's can be copied and shrunk (and written to a BD25) using an excellent piece of freeware called "BD Rebuilder" from doom9, i used it as my goto for everything until cloneBD came out. Now it's my BD3D shrink tool
