Did I post in the right spot? Using the right method? Any progress on the playlist? Thanks in advance.

AnyDVD does not show a good playlist - based on recent experience, I assume that the playlist with the extra minute added (playlist 1) when using eac3to to demux - in this specific case 00408.mpls) is the correct one.

    Merchant Services Solution

Apparently I do not have adequate privileges (after all I'm only a 7or8 year LTL subscriber) to post on the pricing thread where this posting belongs - but if RedFox is still looking for a Merchant Services platform to process Credit Cards, I could have a solution for you. It would be a $US...

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

Sorry - I noticed that you did say you used the "rip to file" option. And I agree that it is a more streamlined solution. But simply copying the files from the disk is also fast [albeit you have to create your own directory, etc]. I can post eac3to log files [tsmuxer basically complains and...

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

With my method, I can't - since the demuxing operation [-demux] requires that I write to the same drive as I'm reading. Consequently, I need to "move" the BDMV directory to a writable location so that I can do a full "directory demux" using eac3to. If I want to demux individual files then I...

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

Fair enough - what is the purpose of "Rip Video DVD to Harddisk" then? Apparently, it should be eliminated, since people like me use it... KWS

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

Found another one - "The Sitter"... Did as the developer suggested [and you clarified] and opened IsoBuster while running AnyDVd in the background. Extracted the BMDV and Certificate folders and demuxed using EAC3to. Worked flawlessly. So this tells me that the shortcut "Rip to Hard Disk"...

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

I've never said I had a problem with ISO creation - the problem lies with the "Rip to Hard Drive". Since I shrink all of my BluRays to 720p for local streaming and lower storage requirements, going directly to a BDMV folder for demuxing and bypassing the ISO phase is significantly faster...

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

Again - not sure what you mean. The original disk is in the hard drive when I use either option. Whether the disk is in the hard drive when I extract the BDMV folder from the unencrypted ISO that AnyDVD produces is irrelevant. And AnyDVD is running in the background at all tiimes, otherwise...

Not sure what you mean? I never received a disk from AnyDVD to my knowledge, just a key via email. Kurt

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

That's good to hear. On the three movies I mentioned: 1) the MAIN m2ts file[s] would not play [or played with drop-outs or major pixelation] on WMP or VLC when "ripped to hard drive" 2) when trying to demux, repeated sync errors lead to a crash by EAC3to However, when "ripped to ISO" and...

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

For "Rip to HD", I right click on AnyDVD on the taskbar, choose "Rip Video DVD to Harddisk" and let AnyDVD extract the files. For "Rip to ISO", I right click on AnyDVD on the taskbar, choose "Rip to Image" [unchecked options] and let AnyDVD create an unencrypted image. Kurt

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

You really don't understand - when you rip to Harddisk, AnyDVD produces a Certificate and a BDMV directory, containing among other things, a Stream directory [m2ts files] and a Playlist directory [mpls files]. These are extracted from the ISO by AnyDVD. When you rip to ISO, you get the SAME...

Rip to Harddisk Produces Errors not ISO

After ripping more than 500 BluRays, I've determined that AnyDVD occasionally has a problem in producing synchronized m2ts files WHEN ripping to Harddisk. For example, on both the Last Waltz and Once Upon a Time in the West BluRays, ripping to HD produced m2ts files that were unusable in EAC3to...

Webslinger - thank you again for your feedback. I've attempted to follow your instructions but according to my "Device Manager" [screenshot attached], I have no IDE/ATAPI controllers attached. I find that curious since I have IDE devices - floppy disk, disk drives [some are SATA]. I hearken...

[Resolved] Rip to Harddisk IO3 Error...

Thank you for your responses - especially in view of the season. Best wishes for the Holidays. As an engineer, I attack problems like these by eliminating what the issue "isn't" and work from there [kinda like House on TV]. To eliminate DVD quality, I found a "never-played" [checked at 100%...
