I purchased Power DVD 11 Ultra, and have AnyDVD running. My soundcard is an Asus Xonar HD 1.3. With AnyDVD running, PDVD shows the output of lossless tracks as 48KHz/24bit, but with it disabled it shows as 48KHz/16bit. I'm guessing that PowerDVD is now working properly with non-AACS...

Are there any HD media streamers that support Dolby True-HD and DTS-MA passthrough with .m2ts file support? I'd like to play my BD rips on my HDTV but don't want compressed lossy audio (kinda defeats the point of having BD!)

Panasonic BD-80, the manual states it's BD-MV compatible but only with BD-RE 3.0 and BD-R 2.0

Can anyone tell me if these blanks are available, and where to get them in the UK? Whic manufacturers actually produce them? All the BD-RE media I've seen is v1.3 or lower which won't work in my Panasonic player (it has support for BD-MV on BD-RE v3.0 discs)

Exactly, the whole point of BD is high-def picture and sound, I'd sooner buy a disc than make a copy that has lower-quality audio.

Does this work with movies containing lossless audio (DTS-HD Master or Dolby True HD) ?

This is good news. I did see the specs, but wasn't sure if it supported movie 'rips' or just recordings made on Panasonic's Freesat BD receorders. Will have to get a BD burner for the PC now!! Thanks again to everyone who posted

Who on earth will take HP version when Pro has all the features and much more??! The HP version should be maybe £20.00 instead.

Been testing the Trial version of PowerDVD 9 with Windows 7. I can confirm that it supports 24-bit/96KHz audio through analog when using the Realtek codec, and also has MCE integration, which is rather nice. Maybe it's time to dump the Asus Xonar card as they don't seem to bothered about...

Yep, and support for non-downsampled 24-bit/192KHz audio through both analog and HDMI is an absolute must, with whichever soundcard is used!

Seems a bit stupid, what happens to people who make their own BDs from camcorders etc?

The Panny and Pioneer both say they support BD-R/RE. When the time comes to get a player I'll probably get one of those models.

Which manufacturers have disabled BD-R playback? I'm guessing the likes of Panasonic, Pioneer will work? How about PS3?

Are discs created with software such as AnyDVD/TS Muxer/ImgBurn generally compatible with mosts Blu-Ray players? I read somewhere that some players won't play BD-R/RE discs. I'm considering getting a BD burner but no good if discs won't play outside the PC!
