Looking to purchase a Blu Ray Burner

There are some eSATA Expresscards available from Newegg, but they are not as fast as the direct eSATA connection. I think they are faster than USB 2.0 though.

Looking to purchase a Blu Ray Burner

I've got an internal drive (Pioneer BDR-205) and an eSATA external enclosure (VANTEC NST-530SU External Enclosure) for my laptop because all external Blu-ray drives use USB 2.0 which is very slow. If your laptop has an eSATA port, I would get a LG internal drive and an eSATA enclosure case...

    VSO Blu-ray Converter...anyone?

Agree. I seldom convert Blu-ray to DVD anymore, but I received VSO's Blu-ray to DVD as a gift. So, I have tried it several times. It compresses too much. BD-RB's DVD output quality looks better IMHO.

    DVD9 to BD25

Try some Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL discs (MKM-003 made in Singapore) and see how it goes. $1.16 each @ Newegg ($35 for a 30 pack). They work flawlessly on my Pioneer DVR-205. I burn them @ 8x, but try 4x.

    Rip to image BD-25 support?

I usually use BD-RB, but occasionally I use VSO's Blu-ray to DVD which also uses the CUDA technology. It's faster w/CUDA using my Core 2 Duo T9900 laptop, but you won't see much difference if you are running a quad core chip. In a way, CUDA makes me feel like I have a triple core chip on my...

Which Files to Copy To HDD

You are welcome. :) If the movie which you are working with doesn't have a seamless branching structure, find out the main movie w/BDInfo and just use tsMuxeR to make a movie only backup.

Which Files to Copy To HDD

Have you tried BD-Rebuilder? It's very easy to use. In most cases, you don't even have to think. :) Just install FFDSHOW, Matroska Splitter and AVISYNTH 2.57 before installing BD-Rebuilder. Download links are all in the first post. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=143716 Many new...

    the expendables

Yep, that's what exactly happened to me even though I used BD-RB. And audio was way off too. Really crazy stuff lol. Anyway, in my case the solution was easy. BD-RB presumed the largest file (director's commentary in this case) was the main movie. All I had to do with was to select "Other...

    the expendables

Check out this thread. http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=44674 I had the same problem first. The solution was to select the MPLS 0004 file which is the second largest file.

    DVD Shrink for BluRay

That happened to me with "The Expendables". The solution was to select "Other Movie-Only Playlist" and choose the correct MPLS file. Good luck!

The Expendables BD-RB Movie only BD25 backup

Thanks very much! That worked! I just needed to select MPLS 0004 manually for this title. Thanks again!

The Expendables BD-RB Movie only BD25 backup

Thanks. I only removed non-English subtitles though. And then, I don't know why I got a director's commentary instead of a main movie. Someone just posted a similar problem @ doom9, so I'm going to track that thread. Thanks again.

The Expendables BD-RB Movie only BD25 backup

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I am. I use TMT3 for playback from my HDD. The video is a director's commentary, but the audio is from the main movie. [22:19:43] BD Rebuilder v0.36.04 (beta) - Source: THE_EXPENDABLES - Input BD size: 25.92 GB - Approximate total content...

The Expendables BD-RB Movie only BD25 backup

Has anyone successfully done this? I tried twice, but I got a director's commentary instead.

    the expendables

I was able to rip it, but that was a very slow process (froze several times...). So, I tried that method above and am ripping it again right now. Now, it's ripping very smoothly as usual. Thanks for the tip! BTW, I was able to watch it using TMT3.

Here is mine. I was able to rip it. Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 6.7.3.0) PIONEER BD-RWBDR-205 1.09 10/06/04PIONEER Drive (Hardware) Region: 0 (not set!) Media is a Blu-Ray disc. Total size: 24228320 sectors (47320 MBytes) Video Blu-ray label: EXPENDABLES_THE Media is AACS...

    the expendables

26 files to make up a movie I think. It's OT, but BD-RB failed to make a movie only BD25 backup. I got looks like a director's commentary instead.

    the expendables

Possibly. I had to open and close my BD burner's tray (Pio BDR-205) three times and finally the drive recognized the disc. It took way longer than usual to rip it onto my hard drive. Ripped movie played just fine on my PC, but I got occasional audio pops and clicks. Has anyone actually watched...

The problem with Crysis Warhead also. It loads to 80% or 90% and then freezes in DirectX 10 mode.
