Yup. The only slowdown was in getting through the bad section of the disc. I rarely use the AnyDVD ripper, but I'm happy to know now how robust it is!

Just noticed it finished. Must have taken almost two hours! There wasn't any disc thrashing - in fact the drive activity light would just blink about every 3 or 4 seconds. Nice job, AnyDVD! :clap:

Thanks. I was just about to do that when I noticed it's at 55% now! For fun, I'll let it go for awhile and see if it actually completes the rip at this painstaking pace.

How long will AnyDVD try to rip this title to hard drive before it gives up? The ripper has been at 54% for about a half hour now. Is there a point at which I should intervene and abort?

See this thread. I copied the movie with menus included, but 'jump to main movie' enabled and didn't get the subtitles to default to ON. They were there OK - just had to select them 'ON' with the DVD player controls. I finally got the English subtitles to run immediately after inserting...

There was a bug introduced in AnyDVD 6.1.1.3 related to bad sector protection. SlySoft is aware of it, and I'm sure a new build will be released by late Monday. ... sheesh - will a mod please sticky that info??? :doh:
