    Problem w/ AnyDVD-Nero combo....help

I have Nero 7 Essentials, which has Recode (I don't know what version it is, though) on it, I guess I should install it to see.

    Problem w/ AnyDVD-Nero combo....help

Yes, you are correct, but, like I said, IIRC....can't keep track of all that crap. Again, what version of Recode do you have? Edit: I assumed you were "Nyle", sorry, that last question was directed at him/her.

    Problem w/ AnyDVD-Nero combo....help

That's why I never, or rarely use Shrink, because I use Recode, however, I just recently had a problem with Recode, trying to burn the movie, "Curse of the Golden Flower", it would NOT carry over the sound to the DVD. Ultimately, I had to use CloneDvd, which did it successfully. What version...

Cinderella 3 - Dose Not Work

Wig_Splitter, Like others have mentioned, it is probably a bad press, or damaged disc. Take it back and get another. Can you play it in your PC, if you can't then take it back?

no disc error message - help

Some standalone DVD players will not play certain DVD discs like +R or -R, all DVD players will play DVD-ROM, so if you can booktype your discs that will probably solve your problem. So what are you blank discs, +R or -R?

    The Departed

It would be helpful if you gave a little more info, like what was the exact error message?

    Set Display Frequency

I don't understand why it is trying to read it, when it is burning, so I presume it is not Nero, and it shouldn't be AnyDvd, since he should be out of the picture when burning (someone correct me if I am wrong).

    Set Display Frequency

I suspect it is your media that you are using causing the problem, however, what is the message you are receiving from Nero?

    Useless

I mentioned this in an earlier post here. Keep in mind that a stand-alone DVD player does not necessarily read the entire disc (so it may not encounter the read errors), whereas decryption software does, and is less forgiving than the SA player.

flexibilis, I understood you perfectly, and according to the above statement I would expect CRC errors.

flexibilis, Stand_alone DVD players are more forgiving than decryption software. Weird that Powerdvd did not play it however. I guess another trip to the store is forthcoming.

    Strange happenings since 6.1.0.7

mmdavis, Still could be the media. I used both versions and had no problems with either, of course, I wasn't attempting Saw III.

    Strange happenings since 6.1.0.7

I would seriously consider obtaining different media, Memorex is usually not the most reliable media to use for burning. Get a box of Verbatim Dataplus or TY discs, they are the most reliable. Best of luck.

    Problem w/ AnyDVD-Nero combo....help

DVDShrink will always work providing you have AnyDvd running in the background, or at least I have never had a problem with that running order. Although, I must admit I rarely use Shrink anymore.

    Problem w/ AnyDVD-Nero combo....help

Recode is part of the package from Nero, but in some instances it is not included with all the free packages.

    What is the best software

I use VobBlanker (free program @ http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/) to edit out material, which could include Widescreen or FullScreen. I also take out all warnings and any documentary, and sometimes previews, attempting to get the data to fit on a 4.3GB single-sided disc, or at least so there is...

flexibilis, I think the discs you are trying to backup have legitmate read errors. Just because it can be played in your player does not mean it doesn't have errors, keep in mind that players do not necessarily read the entire disc, however, rippers like DVDShrink do read every byte on the...

    Useless

I like many here have rarely had a problem with AnyDvd, and when there are problems they are quickly resolved by SlySoft......best investment ever. Just because the original disc plays perfectly does not mean anything, outside the fact that it can be played without read errors, of course it is...
