This is what's showing up on Disc 3 - an invalid block start code and 18% quality. While I did rip Disc 1 & 2, I just can't rip this DVD using either the DVD ripper or Clone DVD 2.

I was able to rip both Disc 1 and 2 with none of these issues, but Disc 3 seems to have a block on a start code that neither DVD ripper or Clone DVD2 can get around - I've posted more on that Disc 3 thread in the Forum.

It's not coincidence. I'm having the same trouble with *two* different discs (neither were dirty or scratched) and I've tried (with no success) using two different laptops, so it's not my drive, either. I've tried both DVD ripper and Clone DVD2. Both underwent "repairing DVD defective areas"...

I do know that - but the reason that the cloned DVD (and, I discovered, the original as well) now wouldn't play and the drive couldn't recognize them is that I didn't have a DVD drive any more. I realized that I was looking at a CD Drive - and that somewhere in the direct-from-drive cloning...

Wow, thanks for such a prompt response, James! OK, took your advice - I usedCloneDVD directly on the DVD, no ripping to hard drive, which I haven't done before, but there's a few oddities. The cloned disc will play in my DVD player, but when the film is over, it freezes at the end count...

Still not fixed Sorry, but it doesn't - and if does, Clone DVD is the miscreant. I first got the disc from Netflix and encountered the so-called "bad file" error at 1% - I sent it back for a new one, and then read the forum here and upgraded AnyDVD to 6.6.3.0. The updated version ripped...
