No fox, no job, no future?

Have not been active in the forums much in a good while but always kept up. AnyDVD has always been a great product and I wish all the devs great fortune in their future endeavors. Hopefully one of those endeavors is a new AnyDVD.

    Anydvd mobile to iPad mini

The mini has a much higher resolution screen so even 480p (NTSC DVD) is too small. He did not say what version iPod he has or what resolution his files are so no telling. If the OP comes back to this thread note that 480p will look OK but not great and that 720p looks very good. I don't think it...

    Demux/Mux M2TS to M4v

Howdy peeps, been a long time since I posted, I check in now and then to see whats happening and grab the latest beta. Is there not a way to mux a m2ts to a m4v while adding an aac audio stream and maybe converting HD audio to AC3/640? If not how about MKV? I have been messing with this...

    PDVD9 to 11 worth it?

So I can get PDVD Ultra 11 for 39.95 as an upgrade from my v9. I use PDVD as my main viewing software for DVD/BD both disk and backups. DVD backups are simply DVD structures from CloneDVD and BD backups are made with CloneBD as movie only ISO mounted for playback with VCD. I find myself...

    Help!!!!

AnyDVD works fine it happens every now and then that a new protection will come out and we have to wait for it to be figured out. Normally is not very long, a couple days to a week, a few have taken longer. Anyway other than that no worries. Depending on your OS you may not be able to browse BD...

Server for downloading AnyDVD HD slow?

I have seen no issues with speed, download is finished by the time I tell it where to put it normally. Most likely something between you and the server.

    virtual clone

An ISO is an image or duplicate of sorts of an entire disk contained inside one file. Virtual clone drive inserts the virtual disk (ISO file) into a virtual disk drive and the operating system and therefore programs such as PowerDVD, Media Center etc think it is a real physical drive and use it...

    movie storage

ISO, MPG/VOB or M2TS depending on what your player can use. I never transcode (make smaller by additional compression).
  11. D

    What is the best format

Yeah, the OP said "best format" so that is pretty subjective because to me that is to not trancode and therefore degrade the quality. I mean a DVD already looks degraded on an HD TV to me so making it worse seems counter productive I think.

    What is the best format

VOB Pass through then rename to mpg = no transcoding so same quality as original and it is very fast.

    Blu-Ray to DVD

ConvertXtoDVD as long as you are ok with just a movie only backup and not concerned with menus etc.

Making a BD movie fit on a DVD, is that possible?

Even easier method: 1)Mount/insert BD with AnyDVD running if it has protections. 2)Fire up ConvertXtoDVD, add the main m2ts file 3)convert and burn. Note that if it is a branching title you will need to remux to a single m2ts and I am not sure how subs are handles as I do not use them much at...

Idea for an option to the software

I doubt this will happen as James has said many times that AnyDVD should be run at startup to help avoid some issues. Honestly I have never really read past that point so I don't know what.

clonedvd2 files from HDD will not play in win7 media center

Interesting and strange, turning off UI sounds fixes it not playing DVD's. Thanks for the info, hopefully I will never need it though.

    3-D TV's

They simply show one frame for the left and one for the right eye in alternating sequence. The glasses sync to the TV via infrared and block out the left then the right eye in alternating sequence in sync with the frame the TV is showing. It does work but not what I would consider worth wearing...
