Windows 10 Creator's Update messed up ReClock

The latest 1709 Windows 10 udpate (Fall Creators Update) might have fixed exclusive mode, if you'd like to try it. Myself, I'm good with windowed mode, it's quicker to switch and I don't see advantages to exclusive anymore, since windowed full screen can now do 10-bit output.

Reclock vs Madvr/MPCHC refresh rate disparity

This is a known problem with the combination of ReClock+madVR full screen exclusive in Windows 10 Creators Update. MS did something that messed up ReClock's ability to get the refresh rate. For now you can use windowed mode, and first reset the timings database in ReClock's settings just in...

Windows 10 Creator's Update messed up ReClock

@James do you think it could be possible/feasible to add an option to input manually the refresh rate of the display? That would be an acceptable workaround for most people, if ReClock can't detect the refresh in the new Windows 10 version, which seems to have messed up a bunch of exclusive mode...

Windows 10 Creator's Update messed up ReClock

The problem discussed in this thread has to do with madVR's fullscreen exclusive mode. The fix for that is to switch to windowed mode and clear timings database in ReClock. What problem are you having?

Windows 10 Creator's Update messed up ReClock

I think people who are seeing this "fixed" when switching to 24Hz instead of 23Hz in their graphics card are just experiencing a happy coincidence. ReClock reads the display refresh as 24.000, so it adapts the media speed for that refresh. But the graphics card will most likely not be refreshing...

Windows 10 Creator's Update messed up ReClock

What's broken exactly? If it's the OP's problem, and disabling FSE doesn't fix it, try clearing the timings database in ReClock.

    64-bit version of ReClock?

This is sad news indeed. AFAIK this option in Reclock hasn't worked for a while, instead you need to use WASAPI exclusive if you need to use the function out to an HDMI receiver.

    Clean-up video clock timings database

I have run into this problem before regularly when I was using IIRC a Radeon 7790. It seemed to happen to me after I'd pause a video in full screen exclusive and let it sit there until the power saving options kicked in and the monitor turned off (Pioneer KRP-500M). After that I had to reset the...

Dell Charging New Computer Users A Fee To Install Firfox

You know how in most forums (including this one) you can't just upload copyrighted music or videos? Same thing fundamentally. So yeah, "bad form" is putting it mildly.

nvidia HDMI out 88.2 and 176.4khz audio bitrate work around?

Are you using foobar2000 with ReClock? Some sort of DirectShow plugin? Anyway, can't you just set ReClock to output 96kHz? That's what I do. I have an AMD card but all it receives from ReClock is 96kHz.

Dell Charging New Computer Users A Fee To Install Firfox

Sure, Recycle could have easily googled it, but it's still bad form (to put it mildly) to copy-paste the whole article, let alone not link to it.

    Cinavia and a third-party product

Yeah me too, just avoiding it isn't that hard. I'm not even using blu-ray players out of pure laziness of having to install them in my newish Windows installation. I hear Nev is joining the JRMC party, maybe I'll get it some time, but I'm pretty good with MPC-HC.

    Cinavia and a third-party product

Hey guys been a while. So what's up? ... ... I see. Same old, same old. With the magic cures. P.S. That DVDRanger "rep" is quite the people person, huh? P.P.S. Why beat around the bush with this guy posting ad nauseam about the years-old "solution" of pitch-shifting? NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR THE...

    Will Slysoft be shut down?

The spelling was actually like that on the drives themselves, that's why everyone "misspells" it. I think it's probably just a nonstandard romanization of the original Japanese. Phonetically, it's closer even.

    Will Slysoft be shut down?

Haven't even touched a DVD movie in years, but Matshita (notorious misspelling of Matsushita, now Panasonic) drives were infamous for not working with any software solution, they were hardware locked and AFAIK there was no way to even flash firmware, I'm talking in the old days of rpc1.org. When...

    Blocked BD copy playback (Cinavia)

What you are not getting is that there's no need to reencode anything. Or even rip. You can play directly from a backed up disc (a blu-ray spec disc even) with players like MPC-HC. You don't seem to have realized that yet. It's been true for years. Other things you can do is remux (not reencode)...

    Blocked BD copy playback (Cinavia)

That's not gonna fly here without a specific link. Even though you probably didn't mean it, that's how all these silly rumors get started. For the most part we've managed to keep this Cinavia thread the cleanest (on the WHOLE INTERNETZ!!!) from such nonsense.

    Cinavia "Movie Fix 2.0"

This one has been referenced in the other thread before, and I remember it being alive before that. So, it's been around longer than you might think. I'll stay with my original opinion:

Magic is always a simple solution. Don't know why people don't use it more often.

    Cinavia and a third-party product

Ugh, Einstein quotes. People who "quote" him often forget that when he was alive there already existed these things called "writing" and "recording". They just keep making up s**t and attributing it to the poor guy. Rule of thumb: no source, he didn't say it.
