@coopervid Yes. FYI, I've double checked the MK firmware pack and only the WH16NS40-NS50 does not have a 1.04, however, there is a BH16NS40-NS50 1.04, so this will work. All other common drives have their previous version in the MK firmware pack. Cheers

Yes, it used to be that way, however basically all common drive models now have a MK equivalent, so that cross-flash is generally not necessary.

DO NOT use firmware other than 12D2HT for this drive. I've heard of multiple people cross-flashing to 16D1HT firmware and they are then stuck (and it also wasn't working for them!) The best firmware for this drive (which is only a BD reader (no BD write function) but the way) is 12D2HT 3.11-MK...

Yeah, I've got a few projects going at the moment. If I get stuck in one, I just move on to one of the others for a bit. That way I'm still working on something while I think about how to resolve the issue I'm stuck on.

Yeah, go for it! It'd also be good c# practice for you.... I made mine basically the same style as the Asus flasher, mainly for ease of use.

I created a GUI a couple of weeks ago and have used it a few times. It works well!! I even used it to do a remote flash! I haven't released it yet as I wanted to speak to Mike first. I'm just waiting on a response.

@WaltK, If you are having trouble with the command line, you could use the modified ASUS flasher.

You need to flash it with BP60NB10 1.01-MK firmware first, then you can flash to 1.00

Yep. FYI, none of the slim drives are UHD "friendly". They are all UHD "official", thus don't work with AnyDVD (for now!!).

Just a heads up! The BP60NB10 won't work straight out of the box and will require flashing the firmware to version 1.00-MK to allow UHD ripping. Also, it will work with MakeMKV, not AnyDVD.
