The native VLC app on Amazon Fire TV doesn't support iso images sadly.

Would Jellyfin be a viable option as I believe plex has started a subscription model for features which I would like to stay away from. Jellyfin is available on the Amazon Fire TV just checked the app store.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I never knew that Java was required to playback BD iso images in VLC. I have been playing DVD iso images in VLC for years with no issues. I just need to find an app for the Amazon Fire TV that will natively support iso playback if this is possible?

I think the disc is damaged, as they are all double sided discs and got damaged in transit through the post delivery. I will just have to replace the disc. Thanks for the help.

Why should I use Rip Video Disc to Hard disk? when I would like all my discs as iso images. I am using VLC to play the files after ripping them?

Yes I can confirm, that this is correct I just check the disc using some alternative ripping software and the size of the disc is the same as Any DVD HD.

Hi I am new to using AnyDVD HD, I have started to backup my DVD & Blu-Ray collection. My question is, when ripping discs as a .iso image, are the discs ripped at there original size or shrunk down e.g. DVD9 is ripped to DVD5 size. Thanks :)
